New Feature

Many of our existing partners had requested the ability to be able to send their clients to any one of the ineedhits pages. Thanks to your suggestions, we have just implemented this feature and it is automatically available to all of our partners.

Simply use the referrer id that is currently generated for existing landing pages to send to any one of our other pages. Email our support address if you have any questions on how to do this.

Improving Click Thrus from Free Tools

Thanks to partners which suggested that the page which follows the recommended product on our free tools be altered to not open in a new browser window.

As we know many web surfers now use pop up blockers which subsequently stops the customer acting on the provided recommendation.

The change has been made for new partners signing up and you will all be notified accordingly on how to make the changes if you are using the pop-up version.


Sending Customers without Free Tools

Some partners would like the ability to send potential customers to our recommended product co-branded pages without the need for them to use the free tools.

Please contact us if you would like to know what your customer co-branded pages are so that you can also provide these directly to your customer base and of course earn up to 50% commission on each purchase.

Bug Reporting

A bug has been spotted by one of our partners in our competitor analysis tool. This rarely occurs for websites analyzed which do not contain a Title or Meta Tag. The fix which will advise the person running the report of this is due to be rolled out in the coming 2 days and will automatically update on all partner tools. The tool works fine for one word keyword phrases which should be the majority of most queries.

Day 3 - Beta SEO Wizard

Someone asked me how we came up with a name - I thought I'd do a quick post, for those who love to wonder about these things...

Anyone who has come up with a name for a new product will agree it can take as long as a few minutes or days. (I'm still amazed how many new born children don't have a name at birth but that is another story)

Our new SEO Wizard took a very special day. On arriving to work to have a crack at it – I saw a piece on a new SEO program "SEO solo", I thought this was a clever name and described the program well, different to ours, given you have to become an SEO expert, nonetheless a catchy name and showed some thought.

So the challenge was on, and this had to be a very different name to our past experience as we were creating something that would need to appeal to business partners not customers. So it couldn’t be too retail, but we are all human so had to have instant recognition and ideally present an idea of what the potential reseller might expect.

We started with what we thought was most unique about the new program - the upgrade process. By offering free SEO tools we allow partners customers to be curious about SEO and their performance, the process then guides them to informed SEO solutions. Kind of like a virtual agent or software wizard!

Of course the naming process took a lot more mind mapping and thesaurus work before arriving at “wizard” but when we got there it was an “ah ha” moment.

As always we conducted a staff poll on a short list of names and yes – Wizard was the standout winner. Hopefully you think so too!
